Ris Alamande /Danish Dessert

One of danish desert....hemmmmm yummy, normally the Danish people serve this special dessert during the Christmas eve .There is tradition to put 1 full Almond to the Rice and member of family who can get the almond on their plate get the gift..it is fun...!! that is why not only the danish kids who wait this part but also the adult one..because it exciting !

Ingredients :

75 gr Rice ( grødris = rice used special making for porridge)
5 Dl milk
salt to taste
1-2 Sp sugar
1 vanilla
75 gr Almond chop /minced
500 ml whip cream

Syrup :

Cherry syrup ( ready to eat ) you just need to warm it in lower heat.

Direction :

Boil Rice with milk in lower heat ca.1 hour add salt to taste let them cold.
Add almond shop ,sugar and vanilla and mixed.

Whip the cream until stiv and add to rice portion mixed them and cover with plastic film and let in refrigerator at least 1 hour before serve.

For serving :

Take 1 big portion of rice and add with warm cherry syrup
